Since its founding in 1992, the Colorado Real Estate Journal (CREJ) has evolved into the leading communications channel for the state’s vibrant commercial real estate market. In addition to their industry-defining print edition, for years their Website has also been a go-to source for market information.
CREJ came to us seeking assistance with implementation of Website updates based on SEO goals. Working closely with CREJ, we came up with a set of recommendations that would not only update their Website and brand, but empower their staff, readers, and advertisers with a suite of more powerful industry tools. Our goal was to transform crej.com into a more effective communications channel and profit center.
As always we kicked the project off with a comprehensive Brand Discovery to determine CREJ’s goals, identify their target market(s), and put their competition in the crosshairs. Since the main component of this project was the Website, once we established the markets and goals, our next step was a Technical Discovery in collaboration with our Web development partners Neon Rain to nail down the functionality that would be necessary to achieve our objectives.
Some of the main goals of the project were to improve crej.com’s SEO, update its Industry Tools, enhance the usability of its comprehensive Industry Directory, and to enlist CREJ in the Social Media revolution.
Thanks to the success of the Website upgrade, and to the close relationship we developed over the course of the project, CREJ came to depend on our expertise to plan and implement additional projects. We’ve assisted them with site promotions, Social Media marketing and continue to provide ongoing brand consulting for the paper’s print edition and more.
